Founding schools

Join TypingCoach as a founding school and get full access free for the 2026/27 academic year, in exchange for your feedback.

TypingCoach is new. Before it has a price it needs a year in real classrooms, with real registers, on a school network on a wet Tuesday afternoon. Founding schools give it that year and get the whole thing free while they do.

Dates

The pilot runs from the day your school joins until 31 July 2027. There is no cut-off for joining: a school that starts in February gets the same offer as one that starts in September.

What is included

Everything. There is no cut-down pilot edition.

  • Every feature, current and new. Anything we ship during the year is yours the day it goes live.
  • Unlimited classes and unlimited pupils across the whole school.
  • Welsh and English throughout: the interface, the lessons and the passages, not just the buttons.
  • No card, no invoice and nothing to sign beyond the terms of service every school accepts.

Support

Email support with a named contact who knows your school, and a reply within two working days. Setup questions, data protection questions and bug reports all go to the same address: privacy@typingcoach.co.uk.

What we ask in return

A short survey once a term, three across the year, and one call with the lead teacher at a time that suits them. That is the whole obligation. We will not ask for case studies, logos or quotes unless you offer them.

What happens after July 2027

Nothing automatic. There is no card on file, so there is nothing to charge and nothing to cancel.

Founding schools are offered a locked discounted annual price, set before the pilot ends and held for as long as the school stays, and get first say on what gets built next. A school that decides not to continue simply stops, and its data is deleted on the schedule set out in the privacy policy.
