What TypingCoach costs

Two things to buy: a licence for a whole school, and a licence for one home. Both are published prices; neither renews itself.

A licence for a school

One annual licence covers the whole school: unlimited classes, unlimited pupils, every teacher, both languages, and every feature we ship during the licence year.

The price is banded on your number on roll, the figure your school already publishes. Nothing is counted per seat and nothing is metered, so the invoice is one line and there is nothing to reconcile at the end of the year.

  • No VAT to add.
  • We invoice against your purchase order, payment 30 days by BACS. No card is needed and no card is kept.
  • A licence year runs 1 September to 31 August. A school starting mid-year pays pro rata to the following 31 August, so every school renews on the same date and nobody buys eleven months of summer.
  • A school licence lapses on its end date. Staff keep reading and exporting for 30 days after that, and pupils keep their courses and their history whatever happens to the invoice.
  • Above the top band the price depends on the shape of the school, so it is a conversation rather than a number: email privacy@typingcoach.co.uk with your roll and we will quote by return.

Founding schools

These prices apply from September 2027. Founding schools have full access free until 31 July 2027, exactly as the founding-schools page says: nothing is charged during the pilot, and there is no card on file to charge.

After that, a founding school keeps 40% off its band for as long as it stays. That is the founding-schools column above, not a first-year offer.

How the founding pilot works

Print a quote

A one-page PDF with your school's name, your band and the price on it, ready to attach to a purchase order. Nothing is saved and nothing is sent: the document is built as you download it.

Whole school, as published. It decides the band.

If your school raises the order first, put its reference here and it will be printed on the quote.

A licence for home

For a parent, a tutor or an adult learning at home. One payment, twelve months, and codes by email you can use on whichever accounts you like.

A licence opens the whole guided course in both languages, the GCSE terminology packs, timed tests with their history, the course certificate, and your own spelling lists spoken aloud. Everything already free stays free.

What you need

The codes go here. It does not have to be the address the learner signs in with.

  • No VAT to add.
  • Twelve months from the day the code is redeemed. There is no card kept on file, nothing renews itself, and nothing to cancel: when it finishes, the account goes back to the free tier and keeps everything it has done.
  • Home licences are sold in the United Kingdom only.
  • If it is not what you expected, email us within 14 days and we will refund it.
  • A family licence is 4 separate codes: one each, redeemed on each learner's own account.
  • If your child's school has a TypingCoach licence, there is nothing to buy here: their school account already has all of this.
